A folk medicine practice involving lighting one end of the hollow candle and placing the tapered end gently into the ear canal.

While it is uncertain how the practice of ear candling began, there is indication that Native Americans, Egyptians and other historical cultures used one form of ear candling or another.

Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) describes a population whose values include health, the environment, social justice, personal development and sustainable living.

Approximately 16% percent of the adults in the U.S., or 35 million people, are currently considered LOHAS.

A school of medical philosophy and practice with a objective to improve health and treat disease by assisting the body's capacity to recover from illness and injury. Naturopathic practice may include manual therapy, hydrotherapy, herbal therapy, acupuncture, aromatherapy, nutritional counseling, homeopathy, etc.

Sustainability

A process or state that can be maintained indefinitely. Environmentally, the intention is to act in ways that produces positive outcomes for the human and nature ad infinitum.
